DRUMS - Darrell "Norman" Nelson

Described by BBC NI as being a "talented sticksman" and gaining a new fan in Mid Ulster Mail's Nial Kerr: "The surprisingly hard drumming style gives each song a uniquely different feel and sets it apart from conventional comparisons", Darrell's mission is to make us all deaf. Influenced by the likes of Ronni Vanucci from The Killers and Clem Burke from Blondie, Darrell and his favourite snare drum "The Biggerstaff" provide the power behind Ana Mae.

BASS GUITAR - John Gillespie

Having the misfortune of being Ana Mae's brother, John currently plays his Hofner Beatle bass and co-writes the songs. To quote Ana Mae 'JR is the organising wing of the band. The computer whizz kid's favourtie line has to be "Don't do it like that, do it like this for fuck sake!".
