June 2008
Just a quick note to say we're still working away: writing, recording, mixing, arguing etc etc! Hope everyone is enjoying the sun and we'll be back with some good news and more gigs soon!
March 2008
Can't believe it's been so long since I updated this news section. With myspace, bebo and our own site, there's too many things that need to be kept updated! Anyway, things are good at the minute, we've received really positive feedback about the last EP, gigs are continuing to go well and we're working on a few cool new tracks. We're currently in the studio recording 2 of them - I Can't Tolerate You and Turn Off The News. No general release is planned at the minute but we may leak a few samples sometime soon :)
October 2007
Here it is!! Download our new EP now by registering for our new members area. Our previous EP Marry Me is also available for download in the members section. We're playing the Empire in Belfast on Thursday, just before Ana Mae jets off to the US for a holiday (lucky for some).
September 2007
Our new EP - Something In The Air will be released on the 15th October via this site. Please check back then when a new members area will be available. Registered users will get access to the full EP on high quality mp3 for free! Limited edition vinyl style cds will also be on sell at gigs. If you wish to recieve one of these limited editions cds please email CD@anamae.net on, or after the 15th October quoting your registered anamae.net username and your postal delivery address. The first 30 people will then receive one of our new EP's in the post for free!
August 2007
Hilden Beer Festival went well, nice big stage and very professional set up. Hopefully we'll be back next year. Our new EP is due out in October sometime, the tracklisting is as follows:
1. Something In The Air
2. Is There Anything You Can Do
3. Stay
4. Marry Me (Unplugged)
As usual, these tracks will be available on cd, and via our web sites.
June 2007
Recording is going well. Vocals are being recorded today (after finally finishing the lyrics) Drums and bass are sounding amazing as expected :) The 4 songs being recorded are Something In The Air, Stay, Is There Anything You Can Do and This List. Expect lots of up-beat pop tunes!
April 2006
We're currently fine tuning the songs to appear on the next EP. Recording begins over Easter. EP is scheduled to be mixed in July and released in September. First gigs in Dublin and Letterkenny scheduled too.
February 2006
NIMIC have chosen us to appear on their compliation cd of the top talent in NI. We met Joe Lindsay, presenter of BBC tv's Getaway holiday program. He was suitably impressed by us at our limelight gig! Sandinos on Thursday, should be good.
December 2006
Christmas again! The last few months have been good. A couple of really good reviews on our BelFEST appearance (BBC and AU Magazine), a number of memorable gigs under our belts and more good gigs to look forward to next year. Have a look here for the BBC review, go buy the January 2007 edition of AU Magazine from your local newsagent. We're really looking forward to our first appearance at Belfast's Limelight in February!
November 2006
As you can see I eventually have a proper web site. As for the graphic on the left, I'm not covering my ears by the way, I just had a bad hair day :) Gigs
wise, we're looking forward to our Antrim debut next week and also our gig in the Duke Of York on the 28th November. This is part of belFEST and also marks the 10th Anniversary of the festival! See www.belfest.com for more details.
